Boomhauer

Boomhauer started playing multi-player FPS games with Counter-Strike. Playing on a LAN on the Navy’s second largest ship kept him up till the wee hours of the morning. Known then as ScArfaCE and/or RiChaRd_Gri3CO, he gained notoriety on CS for the sheer masses of head-shots he would accumulate. People became obsessed with knowing his true identity. Only the admin of the LAN had an idea. Boomhauer never confirmed his suspicions, and remained completely anonymous, despite overhearing many hair-brained theories as to who he was. “It was comical to hear them try to figure it out. I had to walk away occasionally and chuckle to myself” he says.
Boomhauer was officially welcomed to the ranks of DES on Monday, the 15th of February 2010. He is often referred to in-game as “Boom” or “Boomy”. His real initials are CSL Sr. His actual full name is only known by a few of his closest friends in DES, and TheCrema. In the early days he was recruited by CTK, where he became notorious for his Shotgun skills. In ladder scores he has been as high as 29th on HISKILL all-time rank, and 1st on TyD overall rank.

Credit goes to some leading members of DES for sparking his interest in the clan, simply by example. “To list them all would be too extensive, and to list a few would be insufficient. The clan as a whole is a machine, and they all strengthened my resolve to become one of them” he states.
Boomhauer is married to a woman so deific, he has rarely posted pictures of her, for fear it would inspire a mass envious conspiracy against him. He has a wonderful son who was born in December of ‘06. He moves around a lot, first joining DES in Georgia, U.S.A. He has since relocated to Puerto Rico. An extended hiatus from the game followed, due to shipping problems with his computers. He is an Artist in various forms of media, including Sculpture, Mixed Media, Oil Painting, and Graphic Arts. Now he spends his days snorkeling and swimming in the Caribbean, among many other things.
DES was always meant to be for Boomy, who wanted to join since he discovered their existence. Changes in the ranks of CTK, and their slow demise prompted him to finally seek a place among his idols, and he is one of the proud few who has been unanimously voted in.
